Both of the below panels will run from 5:45pm and will be followed by drinks and canapés from 7pm - 9pm. Although both events are free, to ensure we have enough catering for everyone, registration is essential.

Congress of HASS shared plenary panel: The Future of HASS in the University
In the context of the Universities Accord process, this panel will be a facilitated discussion with panellists reflecting on how HASS is faring in the University sector, including its reputation with students, employers, and the wider community.

Congress of HASS shared plenary panel: The Future of HASS Research
The panel will be a facilitated discussion reflecting on HASS research is faring and likely to fare in the near future, including its role in addressing contemporary and future challenges and the likely funding context HASS researchers will face. The Federal Government’s acceptance of the recommendations of the recent Review of the Australian Research Council Act provides a background for the discussion.
